Daniel Nieto is a talent. A true, honest to god, wunderkind. He makes beautiful things with his hands like you make toast. He turns anything and everything into incredible accessories, he is an enormously skilled illustrator, a bright shining light, and a brilliant shoe designer for Diane Von Furstenburg.
His personal style is tangential yet focused. We’ve never seen someone re-invent himself everyday, with such a consistent vibrance, essence, and ferocity. It’s a reflection of his creativity. The award winning shoes that landed him a job at Calvin Klein, and made him the talk of his graduating class at FIT are pieces of art for your feet.
True vision is an awesome thing to witness. Not only are his designs aesthetically enchanting - yes we said enchanting - but they are on the edge. Most of the time, you’ve never seen it before. His choices are elegant, yet incredibly sexy, with beautiful lines, interesting colors and textures, and a big flare for the avant garde.
Above all, Daniel is our family. To watch him do what he loves and be lauded for it is one of the most satisfying feelings we could have. Happy Birthday last week Danny boy. We love you. You are love.
