The day after we visited Ki Monastery, we awoke to finish our Avalokiteshvara empowerment with His Holiness, which included the Bodhisattva Vow: “May I attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings.”
Afterwards, we headed into the even more remote region of Pin Valley.




Music is the universal language of love…



While our friend Bear played for the adults of this small village, Caroline and I took the opportunity to bond with the children who had emerged from their homes to see what all the commotion was outside. These children, refugees from Tibet, were alive with a fire and an innocence I’ve never experienced. Their embodiment of pure love and joy was contagious, and still affects me today.

The game became, take a funny picture, then everyone scramble around to see the result. Simple, but provided a few hours of joyful entertainment to all of us. Here’s the camera’s point of view:
