Losing Migueltio papicito to the Santa Cruz school district.
Hugs and Homeroom, Vice Principal Flores.
I might miss you too. Maybe…
Addendum:
I suppose I forgot to say, and I really should mention, that Miguel has been one of my rocks in New York City. From sunsets to sunrises, to introductions and surprises, Miguel has shown me love, light, Fat Cat, and Washington Heights. He’s made me friends, made me mad, tried my patience time and again, and his love is one to keep close. He and Marie were the only of my Cali people that were here before me, and made me feel wholly comfortable being a smiley kid in a big bad city. It was actually Miguel that got me out here. The bastard. I bought a plane ticket for an East Coast wedding that never happened. When considering my options on where to go, with an expiring Los Angeles lease, New York was that much easier of an option.
I’ve known his time to go back out west was coming near. I like that. “Out west”. But all the same, his energy will be missed.
So yeah, I guess I can take back that “maybe…” up there.
Love love.
