An Amorous Muse.
Every time I talk to Alex Lee, at some point in the conversation, I end up saying, “Wow, I’m so happy I know you. I’m so fortunate to have met you.” Literally. I’ve literally said that sentence, or something very much like it, 95% of the times I’ve talked to her. And I’ve talked to her quite a bit.
An expert on almost everything I care about, including,...
Keli'i.
A special friend on a special visit. Far from home but always near the love, Keli’i is a great friend that I’ve known for almost a decade now. She’s working for the state of Hawaii doing work on the island side of cultural development. So cool. And so good for her.
Beautiful catching up and seeing that smile.

Apotheke at 9 p.m. sharp. Come through.
Excited about it, and owe much of the every Monday night time slot to Nick O’Connor. A champion of subtlety and nuance. Of beauty. Of truth. Has a nice face too.
We like Nick.

Watch this new movie from Blu. I haven’t even watched it yet, but I have an inordinate and inextinguishable faith.
His first video was truly incredible, and I can’t wait to get a look at this one.
A proud, albeit blind, share. Thank you Harper B.

“Hi Melaney!! I’m visiting my friend Sven in Berlin right now and we decided to take a spur of the moment trip to Amsterdam. Im so excited ive never been before, and It’s beautiful here! Vincent, Simone, Odilly
The people who made Amsterdam extraordinarily special.
Vincent is Melaney’s boyfriend. More on Melaney to come, but she was an angel and put us in touch with him. I wasn’t shy and took the opportunity. He took ten minutes out of his busy shooting schedule to sit in the park and share smiles. In the meantime, he introduced us to old friends of his, Simone and Odilly, who took amazing...
Amsterdam.
Amsterdam was an incredible place for exploring, new friends, and no holds barred happyfuntimes.
Amsterdam was not such an incredible for photos, as for forty of the fifty something hours we were there, including sleepy time, I had a guitar in my hands. It was worth it. That guitar was a gateway to magic times.
I didn’t take so many photos, but I did have an unreal time. I wouldn’t...

Happy Friday.
And happy birthday, Marina.
It’s been a week to celebrate life. The Long Live Squinty Festival and 9/11 keep us counting our blessings, and count we will. We should remember to do so everyday.
While we celebrate life, New York celebrates fashion. In honor of said celebration, a few quick photos, of many, from backstage at the ERRO show, a beautiful new line by Anna Larson.

The Backyard of Big Hearts.
Yesterday I was a part of something much greater than you, I, or anyone we know.
Strangers becoming friends. Loving. Hugging. Being blown away by some of the most talented musicians I know. Creating energy, not worrying about holding onto it. Just letting it go. Love coming together, showing itself as one, as it really is, in giant group of smiles.
Over 100 people were in my backyard yesterday,...

Part of the park party.
I met these guys walking to get beers. I harmonized to the chorus of “Easy” and told them they’d have to join us on the hill when I got back. They obliged and were the spark plugs for this party.
Within two minutes of talking, I realized Syd, the gentlemen in the last photo knew my roomate...
Janine Dupree.
I don’t know about you, but it happens for me all the time. I see someone’s art. Something special. And I just want to champion it, support it, represent it. Fortunately for these artists, art galleries exist, so all I can do to muck it up is write about it. No harm no foul.
It’s not often that you or I can do much personally to add to an artist’s momentum. Today you can.
