When Ken Tanabe stumbled upon the Supreme Court case Loving vs. Virginia, which legalized interracial marriage in the U.S., he was shocked that there was no holiday to commemorate the occasion. So he decided to start his own. “I realized that most people had never heard of this civil rights milestone,” he tells CH. “I started Loving Day to fight prejudice against multiracial...

I felt like Mungo Jerry this weekend. What a face. What eyes. What beauty. Just don’t take her cupcake, or you’ll be sorry. ;) Happy birthday, Marie. I love you. Eisha. Cutie. This sky. This color. This incredible. Lily Taylor. :)

They do Exist.
No, not unicorns. Amazing craftsmen. People just like you and I, save the fact that they make incredible stuff. Working where I do, I’m always seeing objects crafted by hands with unparalleled skill, and by minds with what seems like unlimited creativity and time. Copper wire twisted together to form a tree, articulated lobsters made of solid bronze, jewelry boxes intricately carved out of...

Anthropodino.
An inspiring sensory experience has landed in the Park Avenue Armory uptown. Ernesto Neto, commissioned by the Armory for it’s annual installation, has outdone himself, and created a wonderful world. Viceral and good feeling, this indoor park is completely user friendly and interactive. Like a giant, soft, sweet smelling, futuristic playland. I was barefoot, and am now completely enamored...

Thanks David. The Here & There project is a pretty ingenious map that let’s people see not only where they are, but where they’ll be if they keep going. Alright, every map does that, but this one does it in a peculiar fashion. At the bottom the buildings stand upright in front of you, and the farther you go the more overheard the map is. Pretty neat, huh? So far there are two versions, one...

It's Raining.
It’s a rainy Friday. This week has been crazy. Questions, speculations, grades being thrown around at our new President. I’d like to jump on Vicky’s bandwagon and ask, “What have you done in the past 100 days?” Here’s hoping to 100 more days like this.
