Special.
This happy Hallow’s eve comes with awesome news. A few months back I was speaking on art, creation, and how commercial difficulty can lead to broken hearted artists and, in my opinion, a not so great art scene.
Finally some faith in real cognizance of beauty. I happened upon this trailer on the home page of IMDB.
This made my October. A great story.
Happy Halloween.
Inspired.
In my esoteric attempt to disguise my lack of discipline as a woeful problem with focus, I neglected to mention a few highlights of the past week. The photos overflowing from my pockets didn’t help. New York has been has been busting at the seams with beauty, and turning me in circles on the daily.
For starters, after the Mugwump show last week, another seriously groovy band came on. RahJ and the...
Focus.
Days happen. Quickly I might add. I know I’m not the only one that feels each day fade faster than the last, but I seem to be one of the few that has serious issues with it.
I woke up from a dead sleep this morning at 6 a.m. It was pitch black in my room and all of a sudden I was awake. I hadn’t been knocked into consciousness by the dreams I was having. I looked there first. I was having a...
Scenes from Central Park.
Cigarette and Sunshine.
Orange Mocha Frappuccinos!!!!

This is from a few days ago. It’s great.
David Sedaris on undecided voters.
It's Friday.
Nicole Dungao sent this to me.
It’s the absolute awesomest. If you don’t look at it, you are truly missing out.
Seriously.
This made me Giddy.
I was planning on laying down something else entirely, but got ahold of this link via Jason.
These fantastic images by Callie Shell, coupled with the captions, stirred me. I really like this guy.
It’s been an Obawesome kind of week. Make sure to keep clicking “See more images”
And an afterthought from the same, seemingly unbiased and rather non partisan site.
A stark...
David Garibaldi is becoming more and more known for his fun and fantastic marriage of painting and performance. His work, truly a performing art, is unlike any that I’ve ever seen, and definitely something to be checked out. This is a good one.
Thanks Lauren. :)
The Heat is On.
And sunny days are cold again. Winter is peeking like Oscar the Grouch out of his trash can, offering proof by the radiator pipe in my room click clacking all through the other morning. I wish I could control it. It can pull me out of bed better than my mom on the first day of school.
I was out shooting all day yesterday. Yashica in hand, it had been awhile since I had shot film. It felt good not...
Yeah. Me too.
What a beautiful day.
Fiscal Friday.
I got this from Jason Lake. It’s very interesting and informative. Much like the man himself.
Sequoia Capital’s 56 Slide Power Point Presentation of Doom.
To add to the interesting, a contribution from Warren Buffet to the New York times today. A seriously intelligent, powerful, and concise article written by one of the World’s most impressive financial minds.

Offically Fall.
If you all watched the debate last night, you know that one, Joe the plumber is an official platform of McCain’s campaign, and two, both sides are saying it’s time for change.
I got some change for ya. It’s happening all around me right now. Fall is here, leaves are falling like technicolor snow, pumpkin ale is on tap, and Halloween costumes are around the corner.
This is a...
Re: Changing the World
I’ve gotten a few emails from a few good friends the past few days with the subject of changing the world. All of them included the same message.
Before I shared this, I wanted to try it, and make sure Mike and Bethany Barton weren’t taking crazy pills. (photo by Rebecca Rivera)
The verdict is in. Neither Mike, Bethany, nor Mugatu are taking crazy pills, and this site is, in fact, a...
Jersey Surprise.
I know my mother is happy to see me in wide open spaces. Living in the city, space is a commodity, and sometimes it’s absolutely necessary to get out and run around.
I never thought New Jersey would be the place that I would find the kind of space I love and am used to. As a Californian, I’ve realized that many of us have a pretty specific stereotype of Jersey, and as a New Yorker,...
Extra, Extra, Read All About It.
“If I could figure out how to grow you on trees, I would be such a rich man.”
I said that on Tuesday, and I meant it. Andrea Bell is a friend with what seems like limitless potential and an obviously substantial work ethic. She, along with Nick Fahey, one of the more inspiring and inspired people currently carousing my conscious, are the co-founders of Glitterati Magazine.
Glitterati just...
This is my new friend Nicholas Ditmore. We’re going to change the world.

What do I do?
Always an interesting question, and one that generally comes with an interesting answer. What a week. My all too tangential life consistently leads me down fascinating and exciting roads. This city definitely helps the cause, and as long as I continue to put myself out there, I have no doubt new paths will reveal themselves.
Architecture and design are two worlds I never thought I’d find myself...
Fun Friday.
No doubt one of the best, and most fun photography series I have ever seen. Fun with perspective, coupled with the simplicity and nostalgic naivety of the homeade props, these photos just feel great! Thanks Ashley Grand. :)

Big Thursday.
Much action in this big city today.
Mayor Bloomberg is supposedley going to announce that he will seek a change in policy in order to stay on as mayor for an additional term. Opinions are across the board. I’ve spoken to a few people and each seem to have different answers.
I don’t have much of a basis for comparison, as all I know is a Bloomberg run city, but I know I love it here....
Hump Day Politics and Good Feelings.
Most of my political sparring is generally done outside of this forum, but stakes are being exponentially raised, and a few things must be said and shared.
An Appropriately Scathing Article.
Michael Moore Propaganda
One more way to help Obama.
All political pertinence aside, this is Carlo. I’ve learned a lot from this young man in the years I’ve known him.
One night, we were...
